SOUVENIR: THE WAY GOLF WAS

DON'T IT ALWAYS SEEM TO GO: They paved paradise, all right - where these happy golfers once took their swings, the Lincoln Avenue apartments now stand. And that nice paddock in the background? Now Lot 32.

We know this photo was taken after 1923, when the mock-Tudor house on the corner of McClure Street and Hadley Road was built. The vintage auto parked behind the team suggests the late ’20s. Can any of our sharp-eyed readers provide a more accurate identification?
