AS OF THIS SPRING THE SCHOOL HAD:
1,504 undergraduate majors,
414 graduate majors, and
202 faculty, in:
anthropology / communication / economics / labor studies / Latin American studies / legal studies / neuroscience and behavior / political science / psychology / public policy / social thought and political theory / sociology
DESCRIBING JENNIFER CASAVANTS AS “one of our extraordinary students who has taken full advantage of virtually every opporunity the campus and the college has to offer,” Dean Glen Gordon sees SBS as “especially well equipped to prepare students for life in the global village of the 21st century.
“We have a curriculum that promotes international understanding, hands-on experiences, and alternative perspectives about individuals and the social world in which they live,” says Gordon. “Our students are getting involved with activities like: community service, internships, study abroad, and assisting faculty with research.
“In fact, more than 50% of all internships on campus are taken by our students,” Gordon says. “And more than 250 SBS majors take advantage of the study-abroad opportunities that the campus offers in any given year.” |
