MARK YOUR CALENDAR Annual Meeting UMass Amherst Alumni Association Saturday, June 4, 2005 The Alumni Association’s yearly gathering will convene during the Chancellor’s Breakfast on Reunion Weekend 2005. The purpose of the meeting shall be to receive results of general and officer elections and receive reports and notice of by-law amendments. Essentials: Campus Center Auditorium, UMass Amherst. 8 a.m. $9 per person for Alumni Association members. For information and reservations, call the Alumni Association: 800-456-UMASS (8627) Come Home to UMass Amherst Reunion Weekend June 3-5, 2005 Class of 1955 and Emeriti The Alumni Association has scheduled an impressive and exciting lineup of events. Various schools and colleges host open houses, building tours, and receptions. Lifelong learning sessions offer opportunities to learn from distinguished faculty. There will even be a pickup basketball game played in the legendary Cage and a Carillon Concert on the Old Chapel Lawn.  The days of curfews, dress codes, and bowling in Memorial Hall are merely fond memories. Today’s 25,000 students have traded their bookbags for laptops and pot roast for sushi in the dining commons. Reunion Weekend is a wonderful opportunity to renew acquaintances and reminisce with your former classmates and glimpse how things have changed. The Class of 1955 has made a wonderful and generous Reunion gift: a beautiful, parklike garden area at the north end of the W.E.B. Du Bois Library. Join us on Saturday, June 4, at 11 a.m. for the dedication of this garden, which will significantly improve the landscape between the library and the Student Union.
