NEW YORK'S HOT REAL ESTATE market, flush with sky-high penthouses, is just the place for Pamela Liebman. “Selling real estate in Manhattan is so exciting. There are a lot of big, complicated deals—it’s very dynamic.” And Liebman, president and CEO of The Corcoran Group, the country’s premier real estate company, has the best view in town.
Since joining the Corcoran Group in 1985 as a broker, Liebman has risen through the ranks. She became director of the company’s downtown office where she built a team of agents to become the major force in the renaissance of residential Manhattan south of 14th Street. This led to a corporate partnership and a pivotal role as founding partner of the marketing division. Her contributions and successes have redefined the way The Corcoran Group does business. “We’re a very forward-thinking company,” says Liebman. “My motto is: We have the power and the strength of the big, but the heart of the small.”
Her position at the top, as well as her wit, wisdom, and energetic style make her a media darling—she’s frequently quoted as a real estate specialist by the likes of the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, and National
Public Radio.
The accolades stack up from there: Liebman was selected by the The New York Post as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in New York. She is a member of the Young President’s Organization, and is an executive committee member of the Real Estate Board of New York. In addition, this mother of two shares her time and talent as a founding board member of the Wipe Out Leukemia Forever Foundation and serves on the board of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. |
