| The central heating plant was designed to look like a field house to fit aesthetically with the athletic complex.UMass Amherst’s new co-generation facility is slated to come online in early 2008. Using state of the art technology, the plant will be able to produce, at capacity, all the heating and cooling needs for the campus, generate much of its electricity, and dramatically educe harmful emissions. |
