Shakespeare festival, UMass
FOR THEATER STUDENTS SHANNON STILLINGS and Midori Harris, it all began as a simple desire to pay tribute to one of their favorite playwrights, but the first ever UMass Shakespeare Festival, which they produced, became much more than that. Appropriately staged on a beautiful May afternoon on the patio of the Renaissance Center before hundreds of people, the festival featured more than 70 actors and musicians performing scenes from eight different Shakespeare plays.
