STEVEN L. BEEBER ’85, ’95G (Books) writes for a number of national magazines while holding down a day job as associate director of development in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts.
MARY CAREY (North 40) is a political reporter for the Daily Hampshire Gazette and a frequent contributor to UMass Magazine. She lives in Amherst not far from McGuirk Stadium.
CYNTHIA FISHER (illustrations for "Only a Test" and North 40) is a Buckland artist and illustrator whose work appears regularly in the magazine.
DAN OSTERMAN ’87 (illustration for "Rich Fish," Around the Pond) is a Boston artist and illustrator whose work can be seen at www. osterman illustration. com. This is his first contribution to UMass Magazine.
MICHAEL PETROCELLI ’90 (Todd Hill memoir, Extended Family) is Eastern states regional sales director for Irdeto Access in Arlington. He says of his friend Todd Hill ’90, who died in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, "I know Todd will be cheering for UMass Basketball again this year wherever he is."
MARIETTA PRITCHARD ’73G ("Only a Test," Features; "Reconstructive Surgery," Around the Pond) is an Amherst writer and editor who contributes regularly to UMass Magazine. "Some Pig," her report from the Hadley Farm, was a highlight of our Fall 2001 issue.
KAREN SKOLFIELD ’98G ("Digging Big," Features; "In a Heartbeat," Around the Pond) is director of communications for the UMass College of Engineering and a regular contributor to the magazine.
STACEY SHACKFORD ’99 ("Greek Games," Features) is a freelance journalist in Athens, a former reporter at the Daily Hampshire Gazette, and an alumna of the UMass classics department.
JOHN STIFLER ’92G (Branches of Learning, UMass Gatherings, and Cynthia Perry profile in Extended Family) is a Northampton journalist who teaches writing in the UMass economics department. His article, "Reprogramming Butterfield" appeared in our Fall 2001 issue. |
