STAN SHERER'S UNIQUE VISION OF UMass has piqued the interest of Campus Chronicle readers for nearly 20 years. This image of student Kelly Albrecht bathed in sunlight in the Student Union appeared in the November 30, 2001 edition of the newspaper. An exhibition of Sherers photographs that opened at the Academy of Arts in Tirana, Albania in January includes images from his 1997 book, Long Life to Your Children which documents village life in that country, and his 1993 book, Founding Farms, which studies family farms in Massachusetts. Both were published by UMass Press.
