The New York Professional
Outreach Program (NYPOP) has been introducing UMass Amherst artists to
the urban art scene for 15 years. Directed by professor and fine artist
Jerry Kearns, NYPOP integrates overnight visits to the city with guided
exploration of an artist's goals. Through visits to artists at every
level in their careers, as well as galleries, studios, and other venues,
art students find new inspiration for their work and discover truths
about their own motivation. After a decade and a half, the network of
NYPOP alumni reaches far and wide. In tribute to these hard-working artists
and an even harder working program, we developed this page to provide
access to alumni artists and their work. |
