Pasqualina Azzarello Pasqualina Azzarello is a painter, public muralist and performance artist. Based in Brooklyn, NY, she engages in “proactive antics” to create a public dialogue about the human experience of urban development. Azzarello received her BFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1997. She received her MFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in 2005. Her work has been exhibited extensively in New York, Arizona, Massachusetts and Mexico, and is included in the collections of the Rutgers Center for Innovative Print and Paper, the Zimmerli Art Museum, and the New York Public Library. She was granted a second place National Society of Arts and Letters Award in 2001. Most recently, she earned the title “Miss Black Factory, 2005”, to collaborate and tour throughout the United States with William Pope.L’s The Black Factory.
